I am a PhD-student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, working automatic image description.
My research focuses on two questions:

  1. How can we characterize human and automatic image description behavior?
  2. How should we close the gap between the two? What are the major obstacles?

My supervisors are Piek Vossen (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Desmond Elliott (University of Edinburgh).
